Type A earns Summit Creative Award for kiosk

CHICAGO (14 April 2000) – Type A Learning Agency LLC was named a Summit Creative Awards® silver winner for its Build Your Own Pontiac interactive kiosk program. The Summit Creative Awards recognize exceptional work by advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. This year’s competition had a record number of entries, more than 3000, with participation from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Build Your Own Pontiac is a key feature in the Pontiac/GMC display on the 2000 auto show circuit, and will be seen by an estimated 6 million people this year. Type A developed the program in partnership with Pontiac/GMC, Exhibitgroup Giltspur, and BlueWater Visual Services. In a virtual dealership environment, the program guides attendees through options including body style, trim package, color, and wheel choice. When the attendee’s ideal Pontiac is complete, the kiosk prints a one-page takeaway, showing a picture of the vehicle, its specs, and contact information for local dealers. Housed inside a small fleet of rocket-shaped, touch-screen kiosks designed by Exhibitgroup Giltspur, the program features engaging sounds and graphics, 3D animations, and a variety of other special effects, guaranteeing visitors to the Pontiac exhibit a memorable experience.

Type A, a recent startup, was also named a bronze winner for its logo design.
