Type A secures WBENC
certification
CHICAGO (11 February 2002) - Type A Learning Agency
proudly announces that it has received the WBENC certification,
under the Multimedia Development and E-Learning classification.
With an official certification date of January 8, 2002, Type A
is the only company in the e-learning category in Chicago with
this certification status.
Created in 1997 with the goal of fostering diversity
in the world of commerce, the Womens Business Enterprise
National Council (WBENC) provides access to a national standard
of certification and provides information on certified womens
businesses. The WBENC is a coalition of corporations, regionally
focused womens business organizations and representatives
of the Womens Business Enterprise (WBE) community.
Type A is extremely pleased to have the WBENC
certification, because The Women's Business Enterprise National
Council (WBENC) is the nation's leading certifier of women's business
enterprises, says Anna Belyaev, CEO of Type A Learning Agency.
Through our certification by WBENC, we have an opportunity
to help increase awareness of the position held by America's 9.1
million women-owned businesses in the U.S. economy, and to open
doors to new business with organizations that care about achieving
diversity in their staff and vendor relationships.
In order to obtain and retain the women-owned certification,
the business must be at least 51% woman-owned. Also, the business
must have proof of effective management of the business, control
of the business as evidenced by signature role on loans,
leases, and contracts, and have US Citizenship or US Resident
Alien Status.
